Interview: Get familiar with T.U.R.F.

We sit down with T.U.R.F. for the another instalment of our ‘Get Familiar’ Series as we shotgun some questions his way to get a peak into how inspirations, introduction to the culture and their start in the music world!

Q1. When and where did you find house music?

A1.
Tom: borrowing Daft Punk’s Homework from a friend in ’01.
Lorenzo: Around ’95. My older sister used to play house music in our parent’s home.

Q2. What DJ made you want to be who you are today?

A2.
Tom: Lots, but DJ Sneak definitely is up the list. I’ve been looking up to his skills since I was a teenager.
Lorenzo: Hard to pick, but probably Deetron, who was the first DJ I saw playing vinyl with three decks.

Q3. When was your first dj set under this moniker?

A3. Warming up for Dimitri From Paris in Marktkantine.

Q4. What is your go to production tool?

A4. In the effect channel: almost anything from FabFilter. For production the good old FL Slicer. No project without it.
