Australian-based, UK-born Steve Robinson is building up a head of steam with his burgeoning production catalogue on labels like Robsoul Recordings, Purveyor Underground and Too Many Rules, following from winning the Deep House category in the Beatport Producer competition. He buddies up with fellow Aussie outfit Refuge Recordings here for a tasty EP of quality house music.

‘We Go Again’ is a breezy affair where looping funk bass slams up against hazy synth, pads and vocal samples and warm Rhodes chords. ‘Forty Days’ is a jazzy affair, with shuffling garage rhythm paired with incessant horn funk, and ‘The Bay’ completes the package with its dreamy piano motifs, subtle string swells and summery vibe.
