Deep, rolling, tribal-tinged rhythm with Latin spices is the order of the day from Sydney newcomer Ritmiq on his latest belter ‘Historia’. Fusing colourful salsa samples into his heavyweight, sleek groove, he perfectly balances snatches of horns, vocals and percussive hits over a no-nonsense steamroller of a track. The Dub strips things back to let the bass throb more spaciously, with a slightly more minimalist feel to the percussion. Our friends at Soundspace were kind enough to give it the nod of approval.
